This is an old getzen that I found at Chicago Music in Tuscon Arizona
(new old stock!). It was made in the 50s and is known as the "Dude."
I am a big fan of the movie "The Big Lebowski" so I play it with reverence.......

The white thing is plastic (came with the horn).

It protects the trombone from my neck.

Bell o' the Dude. It says "Artist's Model, Sterling Silver" on the bell and
"Super Deluxe" and "Tone Balanced" on the gold rim.

 

This mute is really obnoxious. I have had it since the late 80s
and it gets noisier every year. I would probably cry if I lost it.
I know many people who wouldn't.
